Terms of Service

Doublet · Quiet Paper Studio · ACG Apps

Effective 2026-05-19

The short version

Use Doublet for what it is — a quiet word-ladder puzzle. Don't reverse-engineer or republish it. Your in-app purchase is one-time, non-refundable through us (the store's refund policies apply), and tied to the platform account that made it. The app is provided as-is; we'll do our best to keep it working, but we can't guarantee uptime or fitness for any particular purpose.

What you're agreeing to

By installing or using Doublet, you accept these terms. If you don't, please don't install it. (You can uninstall at any time, no questions asked.)

The app

Doublet is a word-ladder puzzle game produced by ACG Apps under the Quiet Paper Studio brand. The mechanic is based on Lewis Carroll's 1879 invention, which is in the public domain; our implementation, content, design, and code are not.

Dictionary definitions shown in the app come from Wiktionary, available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 license. We acknowledge Wikimedia Foundation as the source. Doublet does not redistribute or claim authorship of any Wiktionary content.

Your in-app purchase

Doublet offers a single, one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase: Unlock all 10 worlds (USD $0.99 or local equivalent). Once purchased, the unlock persists on the platform account (Google Play or Apple ID) that bought it. Restore it on a new device by tapping Settings → Restore purchase.

Refunds are governed by the store you purchased through (Google Play, Apple App Store, etc.). We don't process refunds directly; ask the store.

What you may not do

You may, of course, write about Doublet, share screenshots, recommend it, criticize it, or use it as inspiration. Fair use is fine. Wholesale copying isn't.

As-is, no warranty

Doublet is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We can't guarantee the app will always be available, always solve ladders correctly, or always show the right definition.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any damages arising from your use of Doublet is limited to the amount you paid us (which is at most USD $0.99).

Updates & changes

We may update the app, its content, these terms, or the privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the "What's New" release notes. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflicts-of-law principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved by conversation goes to a court of competent jurisdiction in Ontario.
